Horse and Carriage Liveries

Private livery carriages are lined up waiting for you at Marquette Park. Gough Livery offers antique style carriages to tour the Island and are available for hire by the hour. Gough’s experienced informative drivers will tell you the Island’s colorful history while parading past Ft. Mackinac, Grand Hotel, the Bluff’s, Victorian cottages and more. Your private carriage holds up to 8 passengers and is an ideal way for you and your family to see the sights of Mackinac.  You may also arrange to be picked  up by carriage at your hotel. For something really fun, try your hand at a Drive Yourself Carriage. Gentle horses pull you in your own carriage along several routes around the Island. A quick lesson from the experts at Jack’s Livery Stable and you’re on your own. For the more adventurous, saddle horses are available to rent by the hour and is a great way to see the Island! Cindy’s Riding Stable and Jack’s Livery Stable offer horses for all levels of riders from novice to expert.
